Sanford Ortho Expansion + Medical Suites
The Sanford Orthopedic Hospital is a nine-story, 161,000-square-foot specialty facility expanding orthopedic services on the Sanford USD Medical Center campus. Rising 137 feet and connected to both Sanford Children’s Hospital and the existing surgical tower.
Inside, the hospital includes 35 private pre- and post-operative rooms, an expanded physical therapy suite to support early mobility, and 12 advanced operating rooms, including one directly connected to an intraoperative MRI for real-time imaging during surgery.
The project also incorporates the new 56,000-square-foot Highpoint Hotel, a boutique, high-end hotel. The hotel includes 56 guest rooms on floors six and seven, while the fifth floor is designed for a future build-out of 19 inpatient hospital rooms, supporting long-term expansion needs.
