Sanford Pediatric Emergency Department Renovation
Sanford Health added a new pediatric emergency department specially designed and equipped for children. The project remodeled approximately 9,500 square feet on the 1400 level of the Central Patient Building, creating dedicated spaces to better support pediatric emergency care. Work also included enhancements to the Radiology Department within the ED, including modifications to accommodate a new CT machine. These improvements elevated the delivery of pediatric emergency and radiology services within the Central Patient Building. With this expansion, Sanford Health established the only accredited pediatric trauma center in South Dakota.
