Construction and renovation of the Edith Sanford Breast Center on the campus of Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

To better serve those in need of eye and tissue transplants while advancing the recovery service program, the new 16,000 sq. ft. facility provides a safe, ethical, and timely service to the donor family and recipient throughout the donation process.

Henry Carlson Company constructed the original 110,000 sq. ft. Sturdevant’s building in 1998. Since then, the demand for warehouse space has grown dramatically and the need to expand was addressed in the form of a 60,000 sq. ft. expansion that matches the original building, provides additional truck docks, and fully utilizes the land available.

Remodel of the existing Wal-Mart supercenter retail/grocery facility on Louise Ave. while the store remained open for business.

The newly transformed Hutchinson Technology 30,000 SF facility in northeast Sioux Falls houses nearly 400 researchers and other support staff. The first phase involved creating space for the Sanford administrative staff and the initial lab spaces. The project also included vivarium lab space, a conference suite, and exterior entrance renovations.

A new restaurant for the Thatzza Pizza in Sioux Falls. It was built at the Dawley Farms Village Development on the east side of Sioux Falls. The restaurant had a drive-up window and an outdoor Italian cafe décor.

A new, larger facility was needed for Raven Industries’ Applied Technology Division to build tools for farmers to increase production, including Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and their line of Slingshot® products. The manufacturing facility is approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of which, approximately 10,000 sq. ft. is office space.

The project included the updating of various areas of the Citibank Building No. 1 and included new carpet, significant mechanical/electrical upgrades, painting, pantries, fitness center renovation, and smokers patio update.

To support the Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence at Sanford Health, a 203,000 sq. ft., heart hospital broke ground in the fall of 2009. The new heart hospital houses 58 patient beds, nine catheterization labs, and five operating rooms. Outpatient services include nuclear medicine, stress testing, and echo evaluation of the heart.
