Minnehaha County Juvenile Justice Detention Center Media Day
Yesterday, the Minnehaha County Juvenile Justice Detention Center hosted a media day at the jobsite. Check out some of the news coverage below.
Phase one of the Minnehaha County Juvenile Justice Center is nearing completion. The new 80,000-square-foot facility in southern Sioux Falls will provide increased security, more space and additional rehabilitation programs for youth. Capacity will expand from 40 to 64 beds, with eight separate bedroom pods designed to better serve residents. The updated layout also features wider hallways and modernized spaces to replace the facility from 1969.
We will begin work on phase two this fall.
