Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for Friday at the NSU Regional Science Education Center

Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held Friday, April 13, on the Northern State University campus for the Regional Science Education Center and Athletic and Recreation Fields project.

The ceremony for the Athletic and Recreation Fields will take place at 10 a.m. at the project site east of Jerde Hall. The ceremony for the Regional Science Education Center will take place at 11 a.m. at the corner of South State Street and Twelfth Avenue Southeast.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved inside the Johnson Fine Arts Center. University and project officials will speak, and a reception will take place between groundbreaking ceremonies. The public is welcome.

The state-of-the-art Regional Science Education Center, which will open for the fall 2019 semester, will advance educational and research opportunities for the university and entire region. Read more.
